Happy CYBER DAY! Hope everyone had a wonderful and Thankful Thanksgiving! I know I had a great time seeing all of the Yosten's (Richie has a BIG family). The food was YUMMY and now I think I need to lose 10 pounds....hmmm. Anyway... we got a lot done over our holiday weekend and I am feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world... okay not really, but it sounded good, right?
The day after Thanksgiving, I moved my home office to another location in the house. Richie used to work from home a lot like I do and now he is actually going into the office now that he has a workspace there of his own. SOOO... we decided it was time the kids get a playroom and I move my office into the study where Richie's office used to be. I am really digging my new room. Lots more desk space and I can now have my sewing machine and my computer all on the desk.
I also got a blast from the past today. I finally received this toy sewing machine that I won on Ebay. My sister and I had a sewing machine just like this when we were little and really wanted Paige to be able to learn on one like this as well. I was so excited when I finally found it on Ebay and quickly put in my bid for it and WON! It uses yarn and punches through foam pads so there are no needles to worry about. I can't wait until Paige gets it on Christmas morning! I think I may be more excited about it than she will be.
Angela - thanks for showing your home! I love your table with the pretty red tablecloth! How fun the machine for your girl! I really wish I'd have had a sewing machine when I was young.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your sewing space! I made a frog just like yours for my daughter for Christmas...shhh it's a secret!
ReplyDeleteenjoyed the pictures of your home. OH I remember that sewing machine too!
ReplyDeleteHow fun you bought it for your DD, can't wait to hear if she is excited about it on Christmas morning. I bet she will be.
a charm pack in her stocking too?
Isn't it great it have a little space of your own? I have a small corner in our family room also and I love having everything in one place! Plus I don't have to keep cleaning up my messes. Someday I will have my own quilting room!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little I always wanted a toy sewing machine so I know that you daughter will love it!
So fun to see your house! Beautiful, of course. Love all the Christmas decorations too! Congrats on the new office/sewing room. Now you can sew, compute, and sew some more!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a Holiday atmospere in your home! It's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS! I totally forgot about having one of those neat sewing machines as a kiddo until seeing your picture! I remember the little foam things too that you could sew neat designs on or sew a few together! What a great memory! Congrats for winning that on eBay.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I am in the market for a sewing machine now as an adult to get me going in piecing quilts. I saw in one of your pictures that you have a Janome. Which model do you use? I had narrowed my choices down to Janome or one other model and wonder which Janome you use and if you like it.
Thanks in advance!
Your home is lovely! and I remember having that sewing machine too as a kid!!
