An Authentic Tutorial and Giveaway!!!

I am sooo excited about my latest MBS tutorial... YOU MUST GO CHECK IT OUT!

I had this idea of re-vamping and modernizing the "t-shirt dress" and ended up coming up with this little creation. It features the new Authentic line by one of Moda's newest designers, Sweetwater. Of course it also had to feature my two most adorable little chitlins. :)

I couldn't leave out the boys, so I designed this cute little shirt to coordinate with the little girls shirt dress. Abcd templates are included with the tutorial.

So.. go now and check it out... OH.. and don't forget to let me know what you think! Would love to hear from you all!

OH... what the heck... lets do a GIVEAWAY to celebrate my excitement on this project. {insert giddiness here}

1. Leave me a comment and get an entry. Be "Authentic"! :)

2. Post about my new tutorial on your blog and link to my blog/tutorial and then leave me another comment letting me know you posted with a link back to your blog for a second entry.

The prize? How about an "Authentic" package... an Authentic Charm Pack and a "notions" zippered pouch all tucked away in a small canvas "abcd" tote made by me.

Hurry... Giveaway entries deadline is Sunday, August 9, 2009! I will announce the winner on Monday, August 10.

So.. go forth and enter!

  85. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I love what you did to the boys shirt. Somehow, adding a original 'touch' to a boy's shirt is something I find a lot harder than nicing (is that a word in English?) up a girls outfit. I love this idea, will definately try it one day! Thanks!

  93. Hi, Marcea from Abbey Lane Quilts. Just found your blog. I am dying to know more about you. Where you live, what you do for Moda. Have we met you at market.

    Ok, i used to make and sell t-shirt dresses years ago. Donna Dewberry taught me how to paint, so we painted beautiful things on the tops of the t-shirts and then matched up a single fabric on the bottom. Your bottom is sew cute with all those layers.

    I think i may have to resurrect the idea for a grown-up dress. I had matching ones with my daughter. Of course she is 24 years old now.

    So, drop us an email when you get a chance so we can get to know you.
