My current favorites are the jelly roll and charm pack, but actually just ordered/received a layer cake to try. They are all so great - it is hard to choose a favorite.
I think charm packs are my favorite at the moment. I like your bib and burp cloth recipe. I'm having a girl (after 2 boys) in June - and I'm in desperate need of some girly things - and this will be great!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to check out the book!
My fave pre-cut is also the layer cake! It seems to be the best bang for your buck and the most flexible (other than the FQ bundle, which has loads of potential and flexibility but a huge price tag!)
ReplyDeletemy favorite project of yours is the vintage inspired bear paw - it's on my to-sew list!
I like all the precuts, but I think the jelly roll is my favorite. I like your burp cloths - I need to remember those for the next friend who has a baby. But truly, your kids steal the show in the project photos. Adorable! Thanks for a chance to win!

Hi Angela! I will be honest and tell you I have not used Moda's products yet but one of my 2011 goals is to learn how to sew so I can! You're a great inspiration and I love your website! My favorite of yours are the kids blankets. I really want to make those for my kids!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the FQ Bundles, but the charm packs are in my price range right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Julie
Good morning Angela! Congrats on the book!
ReplyDeleteOk so my favorite pre-cut at this time is the honey bun as it has saved my hands so many times. Right at this particular time I am in the process of making one of your patterns for my daughters bff from high school as she is having her very first baby, one they told her she would never have. I have wanted to make the "Princess and the Pea" quilt for a long time and now I have a girlie girl to make it for yeahhhhh. I also have my very own little girlie girl grand daughter so I love making the so very cute little girls items for her. Thank you for the wonder*filled recipes that you have been so kind as to share with us.
All you ladies over at MODA rock!
I love the layer cakes because small pieces scare me! I love the toddler clothes. I only wish I'd found them 4 years ago! jillseeu(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of hard to pick one favorite project, I like so many!! That shower curtain is gorgeous! The kids clothing is adorable and unique. And the hair clips (as a binding clip!?) are fun! Those just might be my favorite. Something quick and cute to whip up.
ReplyDeleteMy fave precuts are charm packs, but now it just might be layer cakes!
I think Flat Emelie and Mat are my favorite. It must be the elementary school teacher in me!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many cute recipes...but I must try the authentic toddler dress.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite precut is the charm pack. I have a serious addiction to them! I am planning on making your Flat Emelie and Matt from MBS for my granddaughter. I think she is old enough now to enjoy them! I have enjoyed the progressive dinner. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have to pick just one?
ReplyDeleteI just started sewing and have only used the jelly roll, which was fabulous. I ordered some charm packs and think they are so cute. So really I can'y choose yet!

mysocksareyellow at hotmail dot com
I love a good charm pack!
ReplyDeleteI love the jumper you made last Spring!!
Oh my what a fun post, I love the pincushion and have the exact cake stand! (Love Southern Living) My favorite is the jelly roll, you just open it up, start sewing and in short order have great strip sets to design with. I have added your nail as well as bibs and burp cloths to my baby shower bag of tricks to great success. thanks for sharing all these ideas with us.
ReplyDeleteI love layer cakes and charm squares. There's so much you can do with both of them. I'm having a hard time deciding which of your recipes I like the most..your new layer cake recipe is so cute, looks like you could just cut into it. I've made the sock monkey pattern into a pillow, turned out very cute!
ReplyDeleteThat pin cushion is so cute! My favorite precut is charm packs. I love having a little piece of an entire fabric line. My favorite project you've done is the ABC book and snail softie. Thanks for the chance to win!

As for your MBS patterns, {chuckle} love the eggs! How cute are they?!? Thank you Angela!
I hate it in a way, but my favorite pre cut is a charp pack. Mainly because of our limited budget, it is something I can afford yet get a chance to have all those samplings of great fabrics! However, like a big silly head, I didn't think about the fact that you can split the layer cake into 4 charm packs is like an amazing thought!!! I think it could quickly become my fav!
ReplyDeletemy fav project by you is a tie between the shower curtain and the easter eggs ( must start on those now !)
ReplyDeletemy fav pre-cut is the layer cake
I dearly LOVE MBS - thanks for all the work you do there. it is much appreciated

ReplyDeleteDefinitely Max & Whiskers is my favorite Moda precut! I Love your "Cake" project!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Angela! The book looks like a yummy treat~ I can't wait to dig in! And thanks for your role in the life of the Bake Shop. It's been a constant source of inspiration & encouragement over the last two years, and I SO appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteOk, I love charm packs because they're a versatile, inexpensive way to experience a whole collection of fabric without too much investment/commitment. And as for my fave design of yours, I almost can't decide: the sunday best outfits, the nap mat, the bib/burpcloth set, the bearclaw quilt... but I have to say that the Route 66 quilt is my very favorite! It is so modern and such a great non-traditional application of this traditional art. Very impressive. Best of luck with everything...
Love that cake! I think my favorite are the Layer Cakes as well. The patterns I find seem to always work with Layer Cakes. I love your Layer Cake Shower Curtain. Thanks so much for having me;)
