Cora Paige...

I don't really know how to start this post off properly. I first read about Cora Paige and her family a couple weeks ago and was speechless. The images of little Cora Paige in the hospital were all too familiar and distressful. Our daughter, Emelie Paige, was intubated at just 15 months old with a severe Asthma attack and looked just like this little girl connected to all the tubing and machines. I just could not imagine what it would be like to not be able to bring my little girl home. My heart truly went out to this family when I read about their story... not to mention all wonderful people that have been raising funds and all the prayers to help this family at their time of loss. Truly AMAZING! I just can't imagine actually losing my little girl at such a young age. If you have not heard about Cora Paige, you can read about her here and the legacy she has left.

There are several handmade items on Etsy to support the Cora Paige Playground. I just received this adorable little dress that I purchased for my Paige from the Cora Paige Playground on Etsy. It is from Plumtickled and is absolutely adorable!

Jessica McClenahan, Cora's mommy, is now starting her own Etsy shop with some adorable children fashions in memory of Cora. Can't wait to see what she comes out with!

SWEET....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Weekend! Despite Paige being sick with the flu this past week, we actually had a very calm and SWEET weekend.

I have a very SWEET and loving husband that bought me these beautiful flowers and a gift card to White House Black Market ...
Paige and I made these yummy and SWEET cupcakes on Valentine's Day... mmmm....

Paige received this SWEET Pink "P" notebook and pen from Lissa as a Get Well present...

She liked it so much she fell asleep writing in it... Thank you!

Something else that was Super SWEET (slang for cool)... Matthew said Spiderman after getting this for Valentines... SWEET! He doesn't say much that you can understand and we literally flipped out when we heard him say spiderman very clearly.

Memories....

A lot has happened in the past 10 years. There were a lot of firsts and many memories we will never forget...

We built and moved into our new home...

We have two beautiful children...

We bought our very first home and sold it 3 years later...

We spent some quality time together before having kids...

We welcomed new nieces and nephews into the world...
(total of 3 nieces and 7 nephews)

We said goodbye to a beautiful niece just hours after her birth... Faith, we love you!

10 years ago today... we were married!
Oh... and if you are wondering who these crazy looking people are... that is my family. My dad's brothers and sisters all came together and performed a skit about Richie and I at our Reception. I have to say it caught me and Richie by complete surprise and I will always remember it. I love you guys and thanks for helping make our wedding so memorable.

Happy 10th Anniversary, Richie! I love you very much and will for many, many more years to come.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Today my hubby hits a milestone... 30!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Richie! Love ya!
Oh... and Happy Groundhog Day, too! :)

A Pennie for your thoughts...

I've gotta brand new bag!
I love my new little purse. I made this purse using Bananafana's latest pattern, My Pennie Purse and two different fabrics from Moda's Wonderland collection by MoMo which will be available March 2009. Check here for all the latest fabric collections coming out for Moda.
I love the way it turned out and especially love how easy this was to make! Jess does a FABULOUS job designing and writing her patterns. This is the second project that I have made from her patterns and I am hooked! Very precise, clear instructions, easy to follow. Not to mention all the special little details that make this purse so unique...
There are even pockets on the inside for all those little things that you need to get to quickly... Cell phone, chapstick, gum...

You have to make this bag.... or two, or three! It is just so much fun... and the fabric possiblities are endless!
